Two senior architects. One accountable team. Delivering 7-figure returns for a decade.

If you're a growing company running into NetSuite complexity you don't have in-house expertise for, or your implementation has stalled and hasn't delivered the ROI you expected, we're the ones to talk to.

$10M in new annual revenue. 22 markets, 200,000+ customers, 120 days.

Most fractional NetSuite engagements fail for one of two reasons: the person you hired has gaps they can't see, or the firm sold you a senior name and staffed you with juniors. Here's how we built SuiteScale to avoid both.

WHY TWO SENIOR PEOPLE, NOT ONE

James Kohler and Matt Naman each bring 15+ years hands-on experience in NetSuite, and we have delivered together for over a decade. Our strengths are complementary by design:

James

Technical architecture, complex development, and modern decoupled systems: SuiteScript, real-time integrations (Salesforce CPQ, EDI).

Matt

Enterprise systems architecture and financial operations: full lifecycle implementations and rescues, ARM and revenue recognition (ASC 606), month-end close, multi-subsidiary consolidation, and Dell Boomi middleware strategy.

AI, built in.

Most teams dread every NetSuite update because testing eats days. We build AI-driven automated testing into every engagement, so releases ship fast and nobody holds their breath.

Individually, each of us has gaps. Together, there is nothing on the platform we have not shipped — technical or financial, build or close, architecture or execution. That pairing is the product. You get both of us, both accountable, for about the cost of one senior hire.

WHAT WE'VE DELIVERED TOGETHER

The question every company asks before bringing us in is simple: can two people actually move the needle on something this big? Here's what that's looked like in practice.

  1. Rescued a stalled implementation for a $700M+ family-owned lumber distributor. After a year and a half without traction, a lean team delivered a highly customized, production-ready system in six months: lot-based inventory and costing, a dynamic allocation engine, drop ship, VMI, and a SuiteScript pricing and commission framework.
  2. Launched an e-commerce platform across 22 markets, onboarding 200,000+ customers in 120 days, for $10M in new annual revenue.
  3. Delivered a 16-subsidiary NetSuite transformation for a $500M multinational. We consolidated two failed implementations, built a Dell Boomi integration strategy, and completed the global rollout over a two-year engagement.
  4. Integrated Salesforce CPQ with NetSuite, cutting manual order entry from 45 minutes to under 2 for 90% of orders and saving $1M in total costs.
  5. Automated shipping and logistics across ~15,000 SKUs. We took carrier selection out of human hands, optimizing cost and delivery, with $1.3–1.5M saved annually.
  6. Built a global contract and licensing platform that grew managed licensing revenue from $40M to $150M, automating renewals and entitlements across 1M+ endpoints.
  7. Built an AI support agent that resolves ~85% of customer conversations end-to-end with live human handoff. Sentiment-aware triage sends frustrated customers straight to a case instead of through troubleshooting, with auto-summaries and knowledge base generation.
  8. Built an automated QA testing suite that cuts pre-go-live testing from hours to minutes.

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

That's our side of it. Here's what it looked like from inside the room.

"When James joined, we were a roughly $40M multinational running global licensing on spreadsheets and hand calculations across the Americas, APAC, and EMEA. That process was never going to keep up as we grew. He built a global licensing and management system natively inside NetSuite, handling contracts, renewals, upsells, downsells, cancellations, and consolidated billing. It helped support our growth, with managed licensing revenue climbing from $40M to $150M and a fifteen to twenty percent lift in revenue. It's rare to find someone who understands both the technical architecture and the business logic that well."

— Michael Rissi, Director of Technology, Scala Inc.

"Our configure-price-quote process was so complex that syncing a single order between Salesforce and NetSuite could take forty-five minutes to an hour, done entirely by hand — and manual entry meant errors were inevitable. James built a custom integration between the two systems that cut that down dramatically: ninety percent of our orders now sync in under two minutes, with a fraction of the errors we used to see. Beyond the time savings, it meant faster quotes for our customers and freed up our team from repetitive manual work to focus on higher-value tasks."

— Julie Henderson, Financial and Operational Systems Integration Manager, Catapulta publicly traded multinational headquartered in Australia

"When we brought James in, our NetSuite implementation had been stalled for a year and a half — the original approach was over-engineered, with custom infrastructure built where native NetSuite functionality would have done the job. James assembled a small team of experienced operational consultants and partnered closely with our internal staff, leveraging our lumber-specific domain expertise. Together we tore it down and rebuilt it from the ground up, going live in six months, followed by three months of hypercare. By the end of that, we felt confident enough to run it ourselves."

— Josh Goodman, VP of Forestry Services and Owner, Sherwood Lumberthe country's largest lumber distributor, a 75-year-old family-owned business

"From early on, James brought discipline to the project we hadn't seen before. Using an agile approach with structured scoring to prioritize what actually mattered, he pushed back hard on unnecessary customizations — every custom build adds technical debt and increases the surface area you have to maintain long-term. He was just as thoughtful about when to automate and when not to, always asking whether a change built for one team would create friction for everyone else downstream. That systemic thinking is exactly what got us to a stable, scalable system instead of a patchwork of one-off fixes."

— Kevin Mulligan, CTO, Sherwood Lumber

THE METHODOLOGY

We provide outcomes, not hours — and we share the risk with you.

  1. STEP ONE: DISCOVERY

One focused engagement. $5,000, credited in full against your first month if you move forward.

We map the current state, find the real pain points and what they cost you, and put a number on the ROI of fixing them. You walk out with a written roadmap and an ROI case — yours either way.

  2. STEP TWO: DEFINE OBJECTIVES AND PLACE THE WORK — TOGETHER

We sit down with you and review the findings. We agree on the objectives, prioritize them, and work with you to place the engagement in the right tier. This is a joint decision, not a menu handed to you — by the end you know exactly what we are accountable for and why it sits where it sits.

  3. STEP THREE: A FIXED FRACTIONAL RATE — WE SHARE THE RISK

Once the work is scoped and the tier agreed, we commit to a fixed monthly rate. Within each tier, that price holds even when the work runs heavier than we expected — if something takes us longer, that is our risk, not your overage. A material change in scope is a conversation, not a surprise bill.

That is the trade: you get a predictable number and a guaranteed outcome; we carry the estimate risk because we have done this enough times to stand behind it.

THE TIERS

Most fractional arrangements break down over one thing: hours. Here's how we built pricing that removes it entirely.

Tiers are defined by what we are accountable for and how much runs at once — not by hours.

ONE OUTCOME AT A TIME

$7,500 / month

One workstream, start to finish. One of us leads, the other backs up. Monthly working session, maintained backlog, response within two business days.

In practice: stand up or stabilize a single integration; light customization (saved searches, workflows, custom fields, scripts); clean up one broken process; ongoing admin and optimization; or steer an in-house admin you already have.

WE OWN THE ROADMAP

$15,000 / month

Two to three outcomes in flight at once. Both of us engaged. Weekly working session, quarterly roadmap review, response within one business day.

In practice: implement a module (ARM, Advanced Inventory, WIP & Routings, SuiteBilling); design a month-end close process; support reconciliation (bank, intercompany, subledger-to-GL); real customization (SuiteScript, Map/Reduce, custom records, approval frameworks); reporting and dashboard rebuilds; multi-subsidiary or multi-currency cleanup.

WE ARE YOUR NETSUITE LEADERSHIP

$25,000 / month

The platform agenda itself. Multi-stream, program level. Weekly sessions, exec-level reporting, and we sit in your leadership meetings.

In practice: full implementation or major re-implementation; acquisition integration; complex revenue and billing transformation; platform governance (release management, sandbox strategy, change control); building and mentoring your internal team. Specialists brought in as needed — scoped, managed, and owned by us.

The escalator between tiers is concurrency and accountability, not hours.

TERMS

  • Three or six month initial term. Six is the default and is not discounted.
  • Billed monthly in advance, first of the month. Discovery fee due up front.
  • After the initial term: month to month, thirty days' notice either way.
  • No exit fees, no clawbacks, no true-ups.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you sign anything, here's what people usually want answered first.

HOW MANY HOURS DO I GET?

None — hours are not what you want. If we sell thirty and it takes forty, one of us is unhappy; if it takes twenty, you overpaid. Either way you are managing a timesheet instead of a business. If we solve something in six hours because we have done it forty times, that is exactly what you are paying for.

DO YOU OUTSOURCE THE WORK?

No. We do the work. We are not a sales layer in front of an offshore team. At the top tier we may bring in a specialist for something narrow, but we scope it, manage it, and stay accountable.

WHY NOT JUST HIRE SOMEONE?

A senior NetSuite hire runs $150–200K plus benefits, roughly $15–18K a month all in, for one person with one set of gaps, after a three-month hiring process. For about the same money, our $15,000 tier gives you both of us, both accountable, with no ramp and no recruiting risk. Where a hire wins is steady day-to-day admin volume. In that case, hire the admin and keep us at $7,500 to steer them.

WHAT IF IT TAKES LONGER THAN YOU THOUGHT?

Your price does not move. We carry the estimate risk, not you. That is the whole point of a fixed fee.
